At the beginning of this year, the University of Pikeville in Eastern Kentucky opened a museum exhibit called “Khirbet el-Maqatir–A Journey through Biblical History,” in partnership with the City of Pikeville. In January of this year, we were pleased to join as one of the museum partners hosting this exhibit!  Approximately 50 of our artifacts made the trip to Pikeville and will be on display along with historical pieces from the Horn Archaeological Museum and the Khirbet el-Maqatir excavation in Israel through the summer.
We are excited to be able to share in bringing this kind of museum exhibit to another small community that doesn’t often have the opportunity to engage a resource of this nature. Our hope is to continue building these kinds of mutually beneficial partnerships so that more and more people can enjoy these unique and informative experiences.
